"We have come a long way from written letters and carrier pigeons, but that does not make a long distance relationship any easier."
This is the blog of a girl who loved her army boyfriend from over 1,000 miles away.

jessislovely asked: I did the same thing! My boyfriend will be here Friday on leave and I asked for basically everyday off, he was supposed to be here today but it got pushed back a few days. Lol I had 7 and a half hours this week. I thought the exact same thing though, I want to spend every minute I can with him, because who knows when I'll get to see him again :/
Exactly!!! You must be so excited! I work year round, so I’m considering it a mini vacation :) Is your boyfriend in the army or another branch?
@1 day agoI requested off everyday except for two of the days he’ll be home. Originally, I only requested off four days, but I haven’t seen him in six months. And, the last time he was home I worked a lot. It was horrible. So, I requested off. I will spend every possible minute of every day he’s here with him. As much as I love my job (and making money), I’d be stupid to work while he’s here.
